Following the recent Expressionist Futura collection the hype is back for the release of KAWSXPEANUTS this Friday.  Being in my early forties I have fond memories of the original Peanuts books and cartoons.  Consisting of the usual items - t-shirts, tote bags and slippers but the surprise addition of a Snoopy plush toy that comes in two sizes.  I particularly like the pocket t-shirts and a plush would be completely unnecessary but ever so sweet.  It's a great collection and there is something for everybody, young and old.  I've read in a few interviews that as Creative Director of the UT collections  Nigo  didn't want to put too much of himself into what he's doing, and yet anyone familiar with his design and art influences will know this is what makes his appointment such a great move. This post basically wrote itself, or to be more precise, my brother Lyle wrote it for me. This weekend saw the release of two very different albums by artists that I only just found out were the same person. I've listened to " Unless.. " a handful of times now and it's as good as anything commercially out. Many of the tracks would be right at home on BBC 6 Music . If I had to liken it to anything I'd go with Young Fathers with a sprinkle of Andre 3000 . Stand out track whether intentional or not is " America ". I imagine it was difficult not penning something as compelling and earnest in the austere climate we're currently living in. Lyrics to the song can be found at the end of this post. 1992-94 Arsenal Home X 1991-93 Away Kit Print Mark Johnson has released a series of limited prints showcasing some of the most iconic English club kits from the eighties, nineties and early noughties.  A time when the kits were baggy and loud, a perfect example being the Arsenal away shirt dubbed the bruised banana.  It's a very pleasing trip down memory lane regardless of what team you support. There are so many jokes and memes about being an Arsenal fan I wouldn't even know where to begin. The fans appear to be divided, Wenger In or Wenger Out? Coinciding with this years St Patrick's Day and celebrating 25 years since the release of 'Jump Around', New York street-wear purveyor and hip-hop aficionados Alife have released the House Of Pain hoodie . All proceeds from the sale go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation , an organisation close to House of Pain front man Everlast's heart. DJ Q-BERT Of Invisibl Scratch Piklz in London, 100 Club AGMP presents DJ Q-BERT of Invisibl Scratch Piklz + special guests This is an easy post. I was able to see Q-Bert a couple years back perform his Jellyfish Lazer Face mix at the Jazz Cafe in London. It was inspiring watching him work the turntables and rock the house with the bass heavy mix. He finished with a bit of beat juggling and though it lacked the hip-hop cosmic slop I'd hoped for I still came away with an even greater appreciation of his talent. Last year I had tickets to see the entire Invisibl Skratch Piklz crew after the release of The 13th Floor but couldn't go for one reason or another. I just found out he's back for a date at the famous 100 Club on London's Oxford Street.
